In a thrilling display of power-hitting, Salman Nizar, the stylish left-hander, led Calicut Globstars to a 13-run victory over Adani Trivandrum Royals in the Kerala Cricket League on Saturday.

Nizar's out-of-the-world hitting took Calicut to a formidable total of 186/6 in 20 overs. The turning point came in the final over, where Nizar scored a shocking 40 runs, including six sixes, to leave the Trivandrum side reeling.

The over was bowled by Abhijeeth Praveen, who was hit for six sixes by the in-form Nizar. The final over went for an astounding 40 runs, a score that seemed almost impossible to defend.

Nizar's heroics in the last two overs were nothing short of spectacular. He smashed 11 sixes in these crucial overs, scoring 40 runs off the final over alone. In the last 13 balls he faced, Nizar scored an unbelievable 69 runs.

This was not the first time Nizar had shown his prowess in the Kerala Cricket League. In a previous match, he scored 11 sixes in the last two overs, helping Calicut Globstars secure a win.

Nizar's talent was also evident in the Ranji Trophy quarter-final last season. In that match, he scored 112 not out in the first innings, securing a one-run lead for Kerala. His unbeaten 44 off 162 deliveries in the second innings also played a crucial role in helping Kerala reach their second semifinal.

Basil Thampi, the Emerging Player of the IPL 2017 season, was on the receiving end of Nizar's batting in the penultimate over of the Ranji Trophy quarter-final, where Nizar hit him for five straight sixes.

Despite their best efforts, the Trivandrum side could not recover from Nizar's onslaught and were bowled out for 173, ending the match in a thrilling fashion.

With his consistent performances, Salman Nizar continues to be a force to be reckoned with in the Kerala Cricket League and beyond. His spectacular display against Adani Trivandrum Royals is a testament to his talent and determination.
