Kewog Bids Farewell to the Hotel Venture at Sibyl's Bath Establishment

The Sibyllenbad building, a well-known landmark in the picturesque town of Bad Neualbenreuth, is facing an uncertain future following the filing for insolvency by Sibyllenbad Gastro GmbH in July.

The building, which currently houses a popular gastronomy establishment, will see a change in tenancy, with ongoing renovations paving the way for a new tenant. The current technical manager is also set to retire in 2026, potentially bringing further changes to its management structure.

Unfortunately, the Sibyllenbad apartment hotel within the building will close its doors in March 2024. This closure is part of a larger restructuring effort by the municipality of Bad Neualbenreuth.

Mayor Mueller has assured the community that they will do everything in their power to find a solution that benefits both the municipality and the community regarding the Sibyllenbad building. The municipality is currently in talks with potential investors, but no specific details about the potential future of the building have been disclosed.

The Sibyllenbad apartment hotel, with its 44 rooms, currently employs 20 people. Manager Michaela Kraus, who has been with the hotel for 20 years, has assured that the hotel will do everything to support employees and guests during the transition.

The municipality aims to focus on its core competencies and outsource other areas, and the Sibyllenbad building is no exception. They are considering various options for the building, with the goal of ensuring it continues to be a positive part of the community.

The future of the Sibyllenbad building will be determined through careful consideration of these options by the municipality. For now, the building has no concrete plans, and the community waits with bated breath to see what the future holds for this beloved landmark.
