The Carnegie, Cincinnati's beloved local theatre, is gearing up for an unforgettable 2025-2026 season. Known for its bold new productions of beloved musicals, the theatre has been voted Cincinnati's "Favorite Local Theatre" by Broadway World Cincinnati.

The summer season starts with a bang as The Carnegie presents the area's first professional production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, The Color Purple. Based on Alice Walker's novel and the Steven Spielberg film, this soul-stirring production features gospel, jazz, and blues music that will leave audiences in awe. Running from June 27 to July 6, this is a show not to be missed.

Following The Color Purple, Kentucky native Charlotte Campbell takes the stage as country music icon Patsy Cline in Always... Patsy Cline. This touching and humorous musical scrapbook blends classic hits with a story of loyalty, laughter, and love. Sara Mackie returns as Louise Seeger, having taken audiences on a whirlwind adventure in last season's Hello Dolly! The summer season concludes with an electrifying new production of Grease, featuring hits like "Summer Nights," "Greased Lightnin'," and "You're the One That I Want."

Broadway's Paige Davis, known for hosting TLC's Trading Spaces, stars as English teacher Miss Lynch in Grease. This summer romance is sure to be a hit with audiences of all ages, running from August 15 to 24.

As the autumn leaves fall, The Carnegie welcomes back the iconic Rocky Horror Picture Show. After a sell-out run in 2024, this cult classic returns, running from October 24 to November 2. However, the search results do not provide the name of the actor who will play the lead role this time around.

The holiday season at The Carnegie is always a special time, and this year is no exception. A Cozy Christmas with Queen City Cabaret is back on December 6 and 7, promising a festive and fun-filled evening. For those who prefer a more traditional holiday tale, It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play is on stage on December 9 and 10, featuring acting students from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM).

To close out the season, The Carnegie collaborates with CCM to present Anything Goes, running from February 27 to March 8. This classic musical comedy is sure to be a hit with audiences, with its memorable tunes and witty dialogue.

Critics rave about Campbell's take on Patsy Cline, with On Stage Colorado noting that she expertly belts out all the hits. Don't miss your chance to see this talented actress in action.
