Kuban State University Celebrates 105th Anniversary with Distinguished Visitors

Kuban State University, established in 1920, recently celebrated its 105th anniversary with a series of notable events. High-ranking officials from various sectors of government and education graced the occasion.

Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of Russia, was among the distinguished guests who visited the university. In a previous statement, Volodin had recognised Kuban as the No.1 region for agricultural production. During his visit, he praised the university's significant contribution to food security and exports.

Volodin also emphasised the importance of the educator's profession and encouraged the continued development of Kuban State University. He considered it the most important educational platform in the region.

Veniamin Kondratyev, Governor of Krasnodar Krai, also attended the event. Kondratyev called Kuban State University the largest university in Southern Russia and considered it the most important educational platform in the region.

The student and postgraduate population at KubGU currently exceeds 32,000, with students hailing from 87 regions of Russia and 76 countries. KubGU graduates are sought after in the labor market and are employed across various sectors of the regional and national economy.

The guests were given the opportunity to view startups by young scientists at Kuban State University. They also familiarised themselves with the developments of the student design bureau at the university.

Yuri Burlaчko, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Kuban, was present at the event. The visitors' tour concluded with a congratulatory message from Burlaчko to Kuban State University on its 105th anniversary.

Despite a lack of specific information about notable alumni of Kuban State University who have achieved success in various fields, it is clear that the university continues to play a significant role in education, research, and innovation in the region.
