Latest Police Reports from September 1st, 2025
In a series of unexpected events, several incidents have been reported across Halle (Saale) and Eisleben over the past few days.
On the morning of 01.09.2025, a break-in occurred at a nursing service office in Halle (Saale) old town. Construction machinery and tools worth approximately 35,000 euros were stolen. A criminal investigation for attempted aggravated theft has been initiated, and the crime scene unit was deployed for trace evidence collection.
On 31.08.2025, a traffic accident involving two cars occurred at the intersection of Reideburger Straße and Otto-Stomps-Straße in Halle (Saale). The driver of a Dacia, aged 44, attempted to turn from Reideburger Straße onto Freiimfelder Straße, causing a collision with a VW occupied by two people traveling south on Otto-Stomps-Straße. Both the VW driver and his passenger sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene. The total estimated damage from the traffic accident is around 25,000 euros, and the Dacia had to be towed away.
Between 23.08.2025 and 08.30 AM on an unspecified date, unknown perpetrators broke into a warehouse in Halle-Büschdorf belonging to a local company. The property damage from the break-in is over 3,000 euros. According to initial findings, nothing was stolen.
In a separate incident, a fire occurred at a heating plant on Alleebreite in Eisleben on Sunday evening at approximately 7:15 PM. The fire involved a pile of wood chips, approximately 200 cubic meters in size. The Helfta fire department was deployed to combat the blaze, and an investigation into the cause of the fire has been initiated by the police.
Overnight Saturday to Sunday, an attempted break-in occurred at the grounds of the public swimming pool in Hettstedt. The individuals involved failed to access the kiosk due to the security system, but damaged a door in the process. No stolen goods were reported.
Enhanced traffic controls were conducted around Kelbra on Sunday, resulting in the discovery of five drivers under the influence of intoxicating substances between 11:30 AM and 4:30 PM. Two drivers had blood alcohol levels over 1.1%, and appropriate administrative or criminal proceedings were initiated.
A Ford Focus car was stolen from a parking lot on Magdeburger Straße in Eisleben, with an estimated theft damage of around 4,000 euros. The search for the vehicle has been initiated. The police station where the Ford Focus theft was reported is the Hannover Police Directorate (Polizeidirektion Hannover), specifically the Central Criminal Investigation Group Car Unit, reachable via the Criminal Duty Service Hanover at 0511-109 5555.
