Law enforcement agencies are examining their daily roadblocks at night.

In a bid to enhance security in the Bahnhofsvorstadt and Steintorviertel quarters, the Bremen Police recently carried out focus checks in collaboration with the Ordnungsdienst. Over 60 individuals were checked, and 24 were searched, as part of these operations.

During the checks, several concerning items were seized. Among them were several knives, a knuckleduster, cannabis, and a tampered E-bike. Additional knives were also found, and identifications were made. The tampered E-bike was seized in Breitenweg due to two red light violations.

The Bremen Police also made a point of monitoring the existing weapons ban zone, and citizens were specifically informed about this area. Unfortunately, a larger group of up to 40 people disrupted the police measures at one point, necessitating additional forces to continue the checks.

Criminal and administrative offence reports were made during the operations, and 15 people were given dispersal orders. The Bremen Police will continue its strategy of increasing security in these areas through focus checks with partner authorities such as customs, the public order office, and narcotics control.
