Law enforcement agencies are taking steps to seize the bicycles.
The Hesse State Police Headquarters is hosting a free bicycle coding event on Monday, September 22, from 12:00 to 15:00. The event will take place at the town hall in Hauptstraße 119, separate from the location of the Hesse State Police Headquarters in Birkenau.
Interested bicycle owners are welcome to attend the event, but it's important to note that no registration is required. However, for e-bikes or pedelecs, a battery key is needed, and proof of ownership for the bike or e-scooter is necessary.
For any inquiries related to the event, please contact the local police department or the local regulatory office (Ordnungsamt). In the past, events like this have been organised by the Polizeirevier Hanau in cooperation with the Ordnungsamt Großkrotzenburg, and inquiries could be made via [email protected].
It's important to clarify that the Hesse State Police Headquarters Press Office does not handle inquiries about the suitability of carbon bikes for the coding event, the battery key requirement for e-bikes or pedelecs at the event, or the identification document or proof of ownership needed for the event.
The Press Office, located at Klappacher Straße 146, 64285 Darmstadt, can be contacted at 06151 / 969 - 13110 or 0172 / 309 7857, or via email at [email protected]. Bernd Hochstaedter is the contact person for the Press Office.
While the Press Office is not related to the registration or requirements for the bicycle coding event, it is the central contact for any media-related inquiries about the Hesse State Police Headquarters. For more information about the coding event, please contact the local police department or the local regulatory office.
