On February 23, a disturbing incident occurred on the RE 32 train from Bayreuth to Nuremberg. At around 10:35 AM, a 62-year-old train attendant was injured by a passenger. The incident took place at Hersbruck station.

The man involved in the incident is a 34-year-old German national. He is described as approximately 185-188 cm tall, heavyset, wearing white pants with colorful circles, a black jacket, a drawn-on black wavy beard, and black, chin-length hair (likely a wig). He was carrying a large black backpack with gray straps.

The train attendant suffered a scrape on her eyebrow and pain in her left eye, temple, and cheekbone after the man struck her smartphone against her head. Other passengers intervened to prevent further violence, and the man eventually left the train at Hersbruck station after calming down.
