The U-Bahn was operational at the time and heading towards Wittenau when the assailant, believed to have been on the platform, fired a gun. The type of firearm used remains unknown.
Fortunately, no passengers were reported injured in the incident. However, an unconfirmed report suggests that a group may have attacked victims with punches as they exited the station, with the incident involving queerphobic violence.
The assailant shattered the carriage's window, but they fled the scene immediately after the shooting. The identity of the perpetrator remains unknown at this time.
