Law enforcement authorities in Hamburg-Lohbrüge apprehended two alleged burglars.
In the early hours of 22nd August 2025, a joint residential burglary in the Lohbrugge district of Hamburg took an unexpected turn. A 53-year-old woman, alerted by suspicious noises, promptly contacted the police emergency number. The crime scene was located on Goerdelerstraße.
The initial investigation was conducted by LKA 26. Upon their arrival, the officers found a window on the ground floor of the row house left open. Suspecting foul play, they proceeded to search the premises and discovered suspected stolen goods.
Two men, a 23-year-old Moroccan and a 38-year-old Algerian, were temporarily detained. The police officers apprehended the suspects and took them to the detention facility. A judge issued an arrest warrant against both men for the suspicion of residential burglary.
As the investigation progressed, the case was later taken over by LKA 19 (Specialized Burglary Crime/"Castle"). The investigation continues, with the officers examining whether the two men could be responsible for other similar crimes.
