Law enforcement authorities in Werder seized more than 100 kilograms of cannabis.
In a significant development, the public prosecutor's office and the state criminal police office in Werder (Havel) have successfully intercepted over 100 kilograms of cannabis. The origin of the seized cannabis is believed to be from Europe.
The operation, which was the result of investigations by both offices, led to the arrest of two men, aged 34 and 38. The 34-year-old suspect was issued a warrant for arrest by the Potsdam District Court and is now in custody. The 38-year-old suspect was released after the completion of police procedures.
The seizure of the cannabis, along with subsequent searches in Werder (Havel) and Berlin, secured data carriers, smartphones, a blank-firing pistol, and other items. In addition, two vehicles and several watches were confiscated due to potential asset seizure.
