In an unfortunate incident that transpired on August 23, 2025, at Dresden-Pieschen station, a 32-year-old German man was involved in a dispute that resulted in him assaulting his 27-year-old German partner.
According to reports received by the Federal Police Inspectorate Dresden at around 3:30 PM, the man had previously verbally harassed two bystanders before the altercation. Witnesses promptly called the emergency number to report the incident.
Upon arrival, officers found the suspect attempting to kick the woman, who was lying on the ground. The man resisted arrest, trying to break free violently. As a result, a police officer from the Dresden riot police was injured in the hand. The injured officer had to be taken to a hospital for further treatment.
The man's violent resistance continued, and he was eventually subdued. A blood sample was taken from him at the hospital. The Federal Police's investigations into the incident are ongoing.
