Law enforcement officers at the airport are on the hunt for Gambier.

In an incident that took place on or around August 27, 2025, a 30-year-old Gambian man was arrested at Munich Airport. The Federal Police at Munich Airport, the second-largest airport service unit of the Federal Police in Germany, was responsible for the arrest.

The man presented a valid Spanish passport during a check by the Federal Police. However, a passport photo raised suspicions, and a document specialist confirmed these doubts. Further investigation revealed that the person in the passport photo was not the man using the passport.

The passport check also revealed that the individual was wanted in the wanted system. The WΓΌrzburg Public Prosecutor's Office had issued a warrant for his arrest due to violating an active entry and residence ban. Additionally, the Landshut Public Prosecutor's Office issued a warrant for the man's arrest due to misuse of identification documents.

As a result, the man now faces multiple charges, including misuse of identification documents, illegal entry, illegal residence, fraud, obtaining services by deception, and illegal exercise of a profession. A warrant for the seizure of assets by the Landshut Public Prosecutor's Office due to misuse of identification documents, amounting to several thousand euros, was also issued.

The Federal Police at Munich Airport, with approximately 1,600 employees, is responsible for border police protection of the federal territory, combating cross-border crime, safety at federal railway facilities, protecting rail passengers, and aviation security tasks.

The case was originally handled by the public prosecutor's office in Landshut. Further information about the Federal Police at Munich Airport can be found at www.bundespolizei.de.
