Airport authorities are currently on a manhunt for Gambier.

Law enforcement officials at the airport are currently looking for Gambier.

In an incident that unfolded at Munich Airport on August 27, a 30-year-old Gambian man was identified and arrested by the Federal Police. The man, wanted by the public prosecutor's office in Landshut for misuse of identification documents, was also sought by the public prosecutor's office in Würzburg due to the violation of an active entry and residence ban.

The man presented a valid Spanish passport at the airport, but it was listed in the wanted system. A photo in the passport raised suspicions, and a called-in document expert confirmed the doubts. The Federal Police Directorate Munich apprehended him at the airport as a wanted Gambian.

The Federal Police at Munich Airport, the second-largest airport service unit of the Federal Police in Germany, is responsible for border police protection, fighting cross-border crime, preventing danger in the area of the federal railway facilities, ensuring rail passenger safety, and air security tasks.

Despite the arrest, the Federal Police at Munich Airport does not provide information about the subsequent custody of the 30-year-old Gambian man. The man is now facing several charges for the suspected misuse of identification documents, illegal entry, illegal residence, fraud, obtaining services by deception, and the illegal exercise of a profession.

The public prosecutor's office in Landshut also has a warrant for the seizure of the man's assets due to the misuse of identification documents in the amount of several thousand euros. Since the man could not pay the required substitute fine, he was taken into custody after the completion of the police measures in the detention center in Erding.

It is important to note that the Federal Police at Munich Airport does not provide information about the warrants for the seizure of the man's assets or the arrest warrants from the public prosecutor's offices in Landshut and Würzburg.

The man was using his girlfriend's train ticket for the journey to the airport, adding another layer of complexity to the case. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of border control and the fight against identity fraud.
