Law enforcement officials in the federal government apprehend accused drug dealers at Dresden Central Station
On August 26, 2025, a significant event unfolded at Dresden Central Station. The Federal Police, in a swift operation, arrested a 28-year-old Syrian national at approximately 3:50 PM. According to the Federal Police Inspectorate Dresden, transmitted via news aktuell, the arrest was due to suspicion of dealing in narcotics.
The arrest came after the federal police officers noticed suspicious behaviour from the man in the locker area of the station. He was observed dividing bags with another man, aged 23, behind an open locker door. This observation led to the suspicion of drug trafficking.
Upon being stopped, the federal police officers asked the 28-year-old to show the contents of his pants pockets. A preliminary investigation was initiated against the Syrian national for unauthorized trading in cannabis and the distribution of cannabis. A plastic bag containing approximately 25 grams of cannabis was found in the suspect's left trouser pocket.
The federal police seized a large quantity of cannabis from the arrested man. It is worth noting that the suspect presented a valid residence permit to the officers during the arrest.
The investigation against the arrested 28-year-old man from Syria in Dresden is being conducted by the Federal Police (Bundespolizei). The investigation into the case is ongoing.
