On Monday, April 28th, the Heinsberg Police Headquarters, along with forces from several districts, conducted a traffic monitoring operation from 8 am to 4 pm on the B 56 highway.

During the operation, a total of 74 trucks, vans, and 24 passenger cars were inspected. Numerous violations were found, including cargo securing issues, overloading, technical defects, and breaches of social regulations.

In total, 130 speeding offenses were recorded, with 11 drivers exceeding the speed limit of 70 km/h. Violations of social regulations were detected in eight vehicle drivers and were penalized.

One driver who failed to pay the toll fee for a tractor unit was prohibited from continuing his journey. A dangerous overload of over 35% was detected, resulting in a fine.

Another driver was found transporting a dumper truck on the trailer of his articulated lorry without any securing measures. In 18 vehicles, the cargo was not properly secured.
