Lawmakers embark on countrywide tour

President William Lai of Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is embarking on a tour of the country's 22 administrative regions, aiming to pay respects at temples, hold public forums, and listen to the concerns and opinions of the public.

The tour was announced by DPP Secretary-General, Hsu Kuo-yung, at the opening ceremony of a technology convention in Taipei. According to the announcement, President Lai will visit the administrative region of Tainan tomorrow, where he will hold public events and pay respects at temples.

On the itinerary for tomorrow are visits to Neitianhou Temple in Hsinchu City's North District and Lujhu Cihmu Temple in Taoyuan's Lujhu District. President Lai will also pay his respects and burn incense at Cing Ji Temple in Keelung's Cidu District.

The tour is not limited to these visits, as Lai will touch every corner of Taiwan. The lawmakers are visiting Jingmei Fusing Temple in Wenshan District, Taipei, and Guang Jhao Temple in Wanhua District today.

Following today's visits, a one-hour public forum will be held at DPP headquarters. Tomorrow, Lai will hold a closed-door forum after visiting the temples.

The tour is part of an effort to communicate with the public and further boost morale and unite the party moving forward. President Lai is focusing on policies supported by the people and ensuring party officials understand Taiwan's relative stability and positive outlook compared to other countries in the region.

During a forum held on Wednesday, Lai discussed policies related to international relations, economic development, social welfare, and the stock market. He also took the opportunity to explain important policies and listen to the questions and opinions of DPP members.

In addition to engaging with the public, President Lai will join party officials and local civil groups to hear their concerns and feedback. The tour is expected to provide a platform for open dialogue and collaboration, strengthening the bond between the government and the people.

No further details about the duration or specific locations of the tour were provided in the article. However, the tour's agenda clearly demonstrates President Lai's commitment to understanding the needs and aspirations of the Taiwanese people and working towards a brighter future for the country.
