Real Madrid have made some significant moves in the 2025-26 summer transfer window, bringing in several high-profile players to bolster their squad.

One of the most notable acquisitions is Dean Huijsen, who joins from Bournemouth for €62.50 million (Β£50m, $67.6m). Huijsen, a versatile defender, is expected to bring stability to the backline.

Another new face is Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has joined from Liverpool for €11.84 million (Β£10m, $13.5m). Alexander-Arnold, a right-back, is known for his offensive prowess and his ability to create chances from deep positions.

Franco Mastantuono, a midfielder from River Plate, has also joined the ranks at the Santiago Bernabeu, coming in for €45.00 million (Β£38.5m, $51.8m). Mastantuono's arrival will add much-needed creativity to the midfield.

Álvaro Carreras, a young talent from Benfica, has been signed for an impressive transfer fee of €167.50 million, excluding add-ons. Carreras, a striker, is expected to provide the much-needed goal threat up front.

In addition to new signings, Real Madrid have also welcomed back several players who were on loan last season. Alvaro Rodriguez, who was on loan from Getafe, has returned to the club, as has Reinier, who was on loan from Granada.

However, the club has also seen some departures. Lucas Vazquez has left for a free transfer and is attracting interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League, Qatar, and La Liga. Luka Modric and Jesus Vallejo have also left for free transfers, with Modric joining AC Milan and Vallejo joining Albacete.

Jacobo Ramon has left for Β£2.2m and joined Como, while Alvaro Rodriguez has left for €2.00 million (Β£1.75m) and joined Elche CF. Reinier has joined Atletico-MG, and Mario Martin has gone on loan to Getafe.

Xabi Alonso, who led Bayer Leverkusen to a historic Bundesliga title in the 2023-24 campaign, has taken over as manager of Real Madrid. It remains to be seen how Alonso will utilise his new squad, but fans are eagerly anticipating the start of the new season.

With these new signings and the return of several loan players, Real Madrid will be looking to challenge Barcelona for dominance in both La Liga and the Copa del Rey during the 2025-26 season.
