Local association to boost prominence of regional goods
New Association to Promote Regional Products in Regensburg
A new association is in the works in Regensburg, aiming to bring together various actors in the production, processing, trade, gastronomy, and consumption of regional products. The project, titled "Dachmarke in the Region Regensburg," is set to run from June 1st, 2024, to May 31st, 2027, and is supported by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.
The association is planned to have an honorary board and thematically specific working groups, focusing on topics such as the design of the statutes, the association structure, membership, and financing. Intensive work on these areas, along with public relations and financing, will be carried out in thematically specific working groups starting in August.
The official founding of the association is scheduled for autumn 2025. One of the spokespersons involved in this endeavour is Doris Luttner, who has been working closely with the project team on the structure and statutes of the initiative.
The new association aims to strengthen regional structures and promote exchange along the value chain. Various measures are planned, including joint events, public relations, and new formats for presenting regional delicacies. These initiatives are expected to open up new sales channels, particularly for smaller businesses and niche products, through innovative approaches such as a digital sales platform and targeted cooperation with regional gastronomy.
The project benefits from the regional management project in the district "Dachmarke Region Regensburg" and the project "Ganz GroΓe KΓΌche! Regional.Bio.Regensburg." Numerous actors have expressed their willingness to actively engage in the emerging association.
