Local teenager from Kamchatka creates digital tour guide for his home town
In a commendable display of initiative and passion, Ruslan Barsukov, a 15-year-old resident of Kamchatka, has developed a Telegram bot named "Vivi." This virtual guide aims to educate both residents and visitors about the region's rich history, volcanoes, wildlife, thermal springs, and travel planning.
Ruslan's motivation for creating "Vivi" stemmed from his appreciation for the beauty of Kamchatka and his desire to share this knowledge with others. He was disappointed by the lack of understanding among local residents regarding Kamchatka's attractions. With this in mind, he set out to create a platform that would allow Kamchatka residents to learn more about their homeland.
The initial development and creation of "Vivi" were completed by Ruslan, who spent approximately three months and over 15,000 rubles on the project. These costs covered server rental, domain, and hosting. Notably, no advertisements were involved in the development and creation of the "Vivi" Telegram bot.
Since its launch, "Vivi" has been used by 40 people. The bot functions as a virtual guide, providing information about local volcanoes, bears, thermal springs, and travel planning. Ruslan's plans for "Vivi" include both adding a video generation function and expanding the virtual assistant's capabilities.
Ruslan has been self-studying programming since the fourth grade, which has enabled him to create this innovative solution. His dedication and hard work have earned him recognition as a developer and entrepreneur, particularly for his work on the "Vivi" Telegram bot.
The development and creation of "Vivi" were reported by the "41 Region" publication. This unique solution for exploring and learning about Kamchatka is a testament to Ruslan's commitment to sharing the beauty of his homeland with others.
