Local television ratings to be managed by Nielsen, as per selection by American Spirit Media
American Spirit Media Partners with Nielsen for Enhanced Audience Measurement
American Spirit Media, a media company based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has announced a new multiyear agreement with Nielsen, making the latter the exclusive measurement partner for Local TV measurement in all markets where American Spirit Media operates network affiliates.
Under this agreement, Nielsen will provide a holistic view of American Spirit Media's audiences across platforms. This view will encompass traditional over-the-air television households combined with cable and satellite households from Nielsen's Big Data providers.
The expanded partnership includes an array of Local TV solutions beyond Ad Intel, Nielsen's source of competitive local media advertising intelligence. One of these solutions is Ad Intel itself, which American Spirit Media aims to utilise to better serve advertisers and make critical programming decisions.
Tom Henson, President and CEO of American Spirit Media, assumed his position in 2021 and expressed his excitement about the partnership. He stated, "Having the right measurement partner is essential for making meaningful decisions and optimizing successful strategies for American Spirit Media and its advertisers."
The new agreement expands to include solutions that provide a more comprehensive view of audiences, helping American Spirit Media gain insights into viewer demographics, preferences, and behaviour.
The agreement was reached in New York and covers six markets: Jackson, Mississippi; Wichita Falls, Texas-Lawton, Oklahoma; Lake Charles, Louisiana; Wilmington, North Carolina; Toledo, Ohio; and Columbus, Georgia. American Spirit Media President and CEO Tom Henson expressed his pleasure with the partnership, stating, "We are pleased to use Nielsen's Local TV ratings and ad intelligence."
With this partnership, American Spirit Media continues its commitment to delivering high-quality content and services to its viewers and advertisers.
