Changan's new electric car, the Lumin, has made a splash in the Chinese market with its recent unveiling. Priced at 54,900 yuan (approximately 7,500 USD), the Lumin is making waves due to its competitive pricing and impressive features.

The Lumin boasts a range of 205 km, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and a floating LCD screen. Moreover, the motor capacity of the Lumin has been increased to 35 kW, and its charging power has been upgraded from 2 kW to 3.3 kW.

Meanwhile, pre-orders for Huawei's Aito M7 will open on September 5, marking another significant development in the Chinese electric vehicle industry.

In other news, Kia's first pure electric vehicle model, the EV5, designed specifically for the Chinese market, made its debut at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 25. The EV5 has already been registered with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is scheduled to go on sale soon.

Kia's EV5 is a pure electric vehicle model with impressive specifications. However, rumors of Kia acquiring Maserati have been denied by the company.

Nio, another major player in the Chinese electric vehicle market, has been making headlines recently. The company achieved all-time high deliveries in August, with Onvo contributing over half of Nio's volume. To clear a batch of Nio ET5s that have been in stock for more than 90 days, Nio is offering a direct cash discount of 24,000 yuan (approximately 3,300 USD). This promotion policy started last week and is expected to continue until next weekend.

Interestingly, the longest-standing display cars of Nio ET5 have been in stock for more than 200 days. It's worth noting that last year, the Lumin ranked second in city EV sales in China, selling 120,272 units.

In the global EV sales in China for August 2023, Nio sold 31,305 units, followed by HIMA (44,579 units), Geely (147,347 units), and BYD (371,501 units).
