Lorena Wiebes securères yet another stage victory at the Simac Ladies Tour, making it a clean sweep in the sprint.

In a thrilling sprint finale, Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx-Protime) secured her fourth consecutive stage win in the Simac Ladies Tour 2025. The Dutch rider, who has now won every stage in this year's race, extended her lead in the overall general classification to 30 seconds over Megan Jastrab (Picnic-PostNL).

The stage 4 race began with Letizia Paternoster (Liv-AlUla-Jayco) opening up the sprint. Lorena Wiebes, however, was not to be outdone, making an early final move to seal her victory. The top 10 finishers of the stage also included Elisa Balsamo (Lidl-Trek), Linda Zanetti (Uno-X Mobility), Maria Giulia Confalonieri (Uno-X Mobility), Cat Ferguson (Movistar Team), Kaja Rysz (Roland Le Devoluy), Lara Gillespie (UAE Team ADQ), Babette Van Der Wolf (EF Education-Oatly), and Valentine Fortin (Cofidis Women Team). Shari Bossuyt (AG Insurance-Soudal Team) finished in third place, while Chiara Consonni (Canyon//SRAM Zondacrypto) claimed second.

The sprint finale was the closest seen so far in the race, with Elisa Balsamo driving a significant sprint acceleration in the final 500m. Maud Rijnbeek (VolkerWessels Cycling Team) launched a brave attack within the final 15km, but was unable to maintain the pace. She finished the stage in 21st place.

Unfortunately, the race saw an early departure when India Grainger (Team Coop-Repsol) was forced to abandon due to a crash immediately after the start. Stina Kagevi (Team Coop-Repsol) had the largest time gap from the winner, finishing with a gap of 1 minute and 27 seconds.

Looking ahead to stage 5, the time trial may disrupt the established stage winner and potentially unseat Lorena Wiebes' current race lead. The Simac Ladies Tour continues to deliver exciting racing, with Wiebes' dominance adding an extra layer of intrigue. Stay tuned for more updates from the Simac Ladies Tour 2025.
