Love-Fueled Turmoil in the Sitcom "One Crazy Day"
In the upcoming comedy "A Mad Day", airing on 3sat at 9:15 PM, Mina Tander plays the role of Frederike, a concerned mother whose day takes an unexpected turn.
Frederike's seven-year-old son Fritz, played by William Vonnemann, is also caught up in the events of the day. The story unfolds with a series of surprising involvements from helpful police officers, friends, and an understanding landlady.
The day starts innocuously enough for Frederike, with a city tour planned. However, a police-enforced street blockade in Cologne, suspected to be a bomb scare, disrupts her plans. Her partner, Philipp, portrayed by Ulrich Friedrich Brandhoff, finds himself in a similar predicament, unable to take his daughter Miriam to school.
A temporary alliance forms between Philipp and Frederike to handle the care of their children during the tumultuous day. The comedy, however, does not feature a dog, instead introducing a new romance.
Mina Tander, in an interview, mentions that she drew inspiration from her own experiences of dealing with multiple urgent tasks in real life. She brings this sense of chaos to her portrayal of Frederike, a mother trying to keep things together.
In addition to her role as a worried mother, Tander also plays an ambitious and creative cook in the film. Unfortunately, the street blockade prevents Frederike from preparing spaghetti Bolognese for a trial cooking session for her dream job.
Director Katja Benrath, known for her work on "Life is Not a Kindergarten", is responsible for the film "A Mad Day". The comedy promises to deliver a heartwarming story of resilience and humour, perfectly timed for a relaxing evening's entertainment.
It's also worth noting that the children in the film, Fritz and Miriam, may play significant roles in the events of the day. Philipp is often heard calling his children "rascals", hinting at their mischievous antics.
For those interested in childcare arrangements for the locations featured in the film, there are scheduled childcare services in Berlin Friedrichshain from September to December 2025, and in Munich, the Kinderstube Pasing kindergarten has available places starting September 2025.
Tune in to "A Mad Day" on 3sat to witness Mina Tander navigate the chaos of a tumultuous day in Cologne, all while keeping her sense of humour and love for cooking.
