Lubeck's Rockin' Roncalli Christmas Circus Kicks Off First
The city of LĂźbeck is set to host a new and exciting Christmas event, the LĂźbeck Christmas Circus, from December 11, 2025, to January 6, 2026. This rockin' premiere, held by the Circus Theater Roncalli at the Holstentor, promises a festive atmosphere and a variety show unlike any other.
The LĂźbeck Christmas Circus will feature a rock-infused format, blending the traditional circus acts with modern music. Adrian Paul, son of Roncalli founder and director Bernhard Paul, will direct the event and perform in the ring as part of a band, delivering guitar riffs and musical reinterpretations of English Christmas songs, including "Happy X-Mas" by John Lennon.
Lili Paul-Roncalli, a young contortionist, will be part of the artistic ensemble, adding an extra twist to the performances. The specifics of the LĂźbeck program have not yet been revealed by the Roncalli siblings, but it's assured that this program will differ from the ones at the other 4 locations where Roncalli will perform.
In addition to the performance, the Lßbeck Christmas Circus will offer a festive Christmas dinner. Arne Meier and his team from Gourmet Kontor will be responsible for the culinary delights, with a menu that includes a wild herb salad, a piece of beef from the rump, and Birne Helene for dessert. The cost for the 3-course Christmas dinner, including water and a welcome cocktail, is 79.00 ⏠per person.

Lßbeck's mayor Lindenau has gifted the team of the Lßbeck Christmas Circus a Christmas calendar filled with Lßbeck marzipan, adding to the festive spirit.
