On Sunday evening, the skies over Turkey were treated to a spectacular show as the Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse captivated skywatchers across the country. The eclipse, which turned the full moon a deep crimson, offered ideal viewing conditions in coastal areas and open spaces throughout Antalya.

In Ercis, Van, the clear eastern skies allowed the moon's full details to be observed with the naked eye. Residents and visitors gathered in open fields and along the shores of Lake Van to observe and photograph the eclipse. The sight of a glowing red moon hovering over Van's unique landscapes was described as "magical" and "once-in-a-lifetime" by observers.

The combination of the moon's crimson hue, gentle Mediterranean breezes, and the serene coastal scenery created an unforgettable sensory experience for observers in Antalya. The temple's towering Corinthian columns were bathed in the soft, reddish glow of the eclipsed Moon, while visitors wandered among the ruins in Side, pointing cameras and smartphones upward to preserve the moment.

The ancient Temple of Apollo in Side, Antalya, was a magnet for tourists and locals during the eclipse. Thousands of residents and visitors flocked to iconic vantage points in Istanbul, with the sight of a glowing red moon hovering over the city's historic skyline providing a surreal contrast.

Photographers captured remarkable images of the lunar spectacle framed by Istanbul's minarets, bridges, and bustling neighborhoods. The moon's red and copper tones illuminated the temple in Side, Antalya, which has stood for nearly two millennia, during the eclipse.

The eclipse began around 8:30 p.m. local time in Ercis, Van, and lasted approximately 82 minutes, one of the longest eclipses in recent years. Locals in Antalya described the eclipse as "mesmerizing." Istanbul, with its rich history and iconic landmarks, was the biggest attraction for spectators and tourists on the evening of the Blood Moon lunar eclipse.

This celestial event served as a reminder of the awe-inspiring beauty that can be found in the night sky, drawing people together to witness a truly magical moment.
