Madrid's community advocates for expediting initiatives in green technology, aerospace, and health industries
Madrid, Spain - The Community of Madrid has launched a call for the selection of 45 startups for acceleration and scaling programs in the health, aerospace, and greentech sectors. This initiative, part of the Madrid Digital Entrepreneurship Networks, is funded by Next Generation EU funds and the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.
The Madrid Regional Community, under the leadership of Digitalization Councilor Miguel López-Valverde Argüeso, reaffirms its commitment to digitalization and entrepreneurship, betting on innovation as the engine of economic growth and social cohesion. The objective of this new call is to consolidate the Madrid region as a national and European reference in innovation, entrepreneurship, and the generation of quality employment.
The acceleration and scaling programs offered by the Entrepreneurship Networks are adapted to each phase of the project. These programs provide access to training resources, connections with investors, and specialized spaces in Tres Cantos, Las Rozas de Madrid, and the city of Madrid.
For startups focused on green technology development, the specialized Green-Tech Entrepreneurship Centers established under the RETECH project in the Autonomous Region of Madrid serve as innovation hubs, promoting sustainable technologies. The Digital Entrepreneurship Node specialized in sustainability and green technologies (Greentech) is located at Edificio Municipal el Cantizal Kálamos 32, Las Rozas.
GreenTech, also known as clean technology, is the use of non-polluting technology or technology that significantly reduces its environmental impact compared to traditional technology. The movement aims to develop sustainable production and supply processes, with the main objective of reducing pollution and the impact of technological development over time.
In the health sector, the Digital Entrepreneurship Node specialized in Health is located at Madrid Digital Innovation Center, C. Embajadores 181, Madrid. Meanwhile, the Digital Entrepreneurship Node specialized in Aerospace is situated at Edificio La Encina - Plaza de la Encina 10-11, Tres Cantos.
Specialized spaces and networking for solution testing and knowledge exchange, as well as access to investment and strategic alliances with companies and agents in the ecosystem, are other services provided by the Entrepreneurship Networks. Personalized training and mentoring from experts in strategic sectors are also available.
The project submission deadline for the Acceleration and Scaling programs is from July 29 to September 1. Startups and digital projects working in the sectors of Health, Greentech, and Aerospace are encouraged to apply.
Madrid is today the capital of innovation in Spain, and the challenge is to strengthen strategic sectors for the country, as well as to support talent, digitalization, and the creation of quality employment.
