Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, a choreographer of mixed Belgian-Flemish and Moroccan heritage, is also presenting a new creation named Ihsane at TheΜaΜtre Maisonneuve from October 1 to 4. This personal work explores the choreographer's family history and the source of a lost father.
Meanwhile, the renowned international circus company, Circus Ronaldo, is presenting the North American premiere of the clown duo Sono io ?. The production, featuring a score of dancers, a vocal duo, and a musical ensemble, tells a unique story of reconnection despite differences, using powerful formulas and original combinations. The choreographer presenting the piece is Shauli Einav.
Lastly, Mathilde Monnier, a French choreographer with over 50 pieces to her credit, is presenting her work Black Lights as part of Agora de la danse's programming from October 22 to 25. Accompanying these performances, the Orchestre des Grands Ballets will perform the musical score live for Snow White, where emblematic works by Bach, Saint-SaΓ«ns, and Dukas meet.
