Main Street event slated for Children's Festival 2025
Get ready for a day of excitement and learning as the annual Children's Festival makes its return to Main Street! Organised by the Hauptstraße Trade and Culture Association, the festival will take place on two different dates this summer: July 1 and August 23, from 2 PM to 6 PM.
The festival will be bustling with various local clubs and shops, offering a plethora of activities for children to enjoy. At Hauptstraße 144 in Wanne-Süd, the parish community of St. Christophorus will be hosting a variety of activities such as football dart, a bouncy castle, crafts, a magician, a balloon artist, tin can throwing, sack racing, glitter tattoos, a Lego corner, and face painting.
While at the festival, children can also learn about different sports offerings and speak with club representatives. The local clubs participating in this year's festival include various unnamed clubs, but they will all be present to share information and answer any questions.
In addition to the sports activities, there will be several stations for children to demonstrate their skill, endurance, and creativity. These include a giant 4-in-a-row game, a wheel of fortune, glitter tattoos, and a fairy tale detective game.
For the little ones who love to shop, a mini children's flea market will be taking place, with all proceeds going to the Arche in the Jäger Park.
To top it all off, shops and restaurants along the Main Street will participate, offering various deals to make your day even more enjoyable. And the best part? Participation in these stations at the Children's Festival is absolutely free!
