Malilla's upcoming CEIP (Community Education Institute) will merge with El Fernando de los Ríos, with plans for completion by the first quarter of 2026.

In the heart of Valencia's Malilla neighbourhood, a new educational hub is taking shape. The much-anticipated CEIP 106 is set to open its doors in the first quarter of 2026, marking a significant investment of 14 million euros.

The school will accommodate over 700 students, with three educational lines: one from the Fernando de los Ríos school and two new lines. CEIP 106 will have three units of Infant in the first cycle, nine units of Infant, and eighteen units of Primary. The integration of the Fernando de los Ríos school into the new CEIP 106 is also on the horizon, with plans for the school to move once the works are completed.

The school's design is focused on energy efficiency and sustainability. It will boast a high energy rating, the highest within the A category, and will be equipped with photovoltaic installations. To help reduce climatic stress and improve energy efficiency, CEIP 106 will also feature a refrigeration and air conditioning system.

In addition to its educational facilities, CEIP 106 will offer a dining room for 600 diners in two shifts. The school will also have a system of awnings to generate shade and protection against rain and wind, as well as structures that will provide light but protect from the sun.

Another school set to join the urbanization project of the Parque Central de Ingenieros, in the neighbourhood of La Raiosa, is the Santo Ángel de la Guardia school. This pending school, which has been in prefabricated classrooms since approximately 2018, will have a surface area of 12,000 square meters, with 6,600 built. The Santo Ángel de la Guardia school will include a program of 12 units of Early Childhood Education (3 First Cycle and 9 Second Cycle), 18 units of Primary Education, Valencian ball games, and a dining room for 300 students in two shifts.

The Edificant plan, which includes both CEIP 106 and the Santo Ángel de la Guardia school, has been significantly increased by the current governing team, reaching 70 million euros. However, the person coordinating the plan to connect the Municipal-Fernando-de-los-Ríos School Center in Malilla with CEIP 106 and working with the government employee of the education authority to enable joint administration while essentially preserving staff and leadership bodies is not specified in the provided information.

As the construction of CEIP 106 progresses, the Malilla neighbourhood and the wider Valencia community eagerly await the opening of this modern, sustainable, and state-of-the-art school.
