Man aged 39 wreaks havoc at Halle Central Station (Saale), damaging Federal police vehicles using a wood slate and paving stones, as per BPOLI MD report.

On July 5, 2025, a man caused a commotion at Halle (Saale) Central Station, striking a parked service vehicle of the Federal Police with a wooden plank at 04:40. The local Federal Police Station arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the report.

The 39-year-old Polish man, who was initially a suspect, was handed over to the Federal Police for identification. However, during his escort out of the central station, the man picked up a cobblestone and threatened to throw it at Federal Police officers. He also threw the cobblestone at a second parked service vehicle.

Criminal proceedings were initiated against the man for various charges, including property damage, destruction of important work equipment, threat, dangerous bodily injury, and resistance to law enforcement officers. The suspect had previously threatened two people with the same wooden plank.

Coercive measures were necessary to bring the man back to the station, as he actively resisted the measures of the Federal Police. After the completion of police measures and a legal warning, the man was initially released on bail and given a ban from Halle (Saale) Central Station.

The Federal Police Inspectorate Magdeburg, whose Twitter handle is @bpol_pir, transmitted the news about the incident. Emails can be sent to [email protected], and the office can be contacted at +49 (0) 391-56549-505.

The state police are still investigating the identity of the officer who arrested the man after the incident. The public is reminded to maintain peace and order in public places and to cooperate with law enforcement officers when requested.
