Manchester United has reportedly arranged a medical for a new recruit following a turnaround at Old Trafford.

Manchester United Sign Senne Lammens as New Goalkeeper

Manchester United have addressed one of their key areas of concern by signing Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp. The Belgian goalkeeper, who has agreed to a five-year deal with the club, is set to join Cunha, Sesko, Mbeumo, and Diego Leon as new additions this summer.

The move comes after a series of high-profile mistakes from goalkeepers AndrΓ© Onana and Altay Bayindir this season. Onana made two errors against League Two team Grimsby Town, while Bayindir was at fault for the only goal in Manchester United's opening-day defeat by Arsenal.

Ruben Amorim, Manchester United's manager, has emphasized the priority of strengthening other areas of the team. However, the signing of Lammens, who will replace Onana who has been loaned to Trabzonspor in Turkey, is a significant step towards resolving the goalkeeper position before Deadline Day.

Lammens, 24, was the number one choice for Manchester United, with personal terms having been agreed with Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez, but talks have cooled. The transfer fee for Lammens is reported to be around 18-21 million pounds, with €21 million (Β£18.2m) upfront and €4m (Β£3.4m) in add-ons. No sell-on clause has been included in the deal.

Tom Heaton remains at Manchester United after extending his deal in the summer but has not been given an opportunity under Amorim. Lammens joins the club with a contract until 2030 and is expected to provide much-needed stability in the goalkeeper position.

Manchester United's summer spending has been heavy, but the key positions remain unresolved. Signing a goalkeeper and at least one new midfielder should have been a priority for the club all summer long. As the transfer window draws to a close, it remains to be seen if United can address these remaining areas of concern.

In other news, Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo have already been signed by Manchester United this summer. The club is looking forward to welcoming these talented players to Old Trafford.
