Marina Bay Sands' CEO asserts that it is the most thriving Integrated Resort globally, with a planned $8 billion renovation upcoming.

The Marina Bay Sands, Singapore's iconic integrated resort, is set for a significant expansion, with construction commencing on July 15, 2025. The project, valued at approximately $8 billion, is the largest corporate loan in Singapore's history, secured by Las Vegas Sands in early 2025.

The expansion, scheduled for completion by June 2030, will add a luxury hotel tower featuring 570 all-suite rooms, each larger than those currently available at the resort. Standing at 55 stories high, the tower will be designed by Safdie Architects, the same firm behind the original Marina Bay Sands.

The expansion will also include a 15,000-seat entertainment arena, additional gaming space, high-end retail and dining options, and a spa, wellness amenities, and a multi-level rooftop experience called “Skyloop.” The Skyloop features panoramic views, restaurants, lush gardens, private cabanas, infinity pools, and 200,000 square feet of premium Meeting, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) space to cater to corporate events.

The project emphasizes sustainability with the use of low-carbon materials and a robust waste management plan to reduce environmental impacts. The expansion aims to further transform the landscape of tourism in the region, positioning the Marina Bay Sands as the "most successful integrated resort in history," according to its President and CEO, Robert Goldstein.

The grand opening of the renovated Marina Bay Sands is scheduled for early 2031, pending government approval. The expansion will join the existing 2,561 rooms at the casino resort, offering an unparalleled luxury experience to visitors.

The groundbreaking ceremony for this expansion was attended by Miriam Adelson, majority owner of Las Vegas Sands, and Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. Robert Goldstein believes that the upcoming work on the Marina Bay Sands will take the facility to the next level, providing a truly immersive and memorable experience for its guests.

The expansion of the Marina Bay Sands, slated for completion by June 2030, will not only include a 15,000-seat entertainment arena and additional gaming space, but will also delve into casino-culture with high-end retail and dining options, a spa, and a rooftop experience called "Skyloop." This casino-and-gambling haven, aspiring to be the "most successful integrated resort in history," will be graced by the presence of casino-personalities like Miriam Adelson, majority owner of Las Vegas Sands, and its President and CEO, Robert Goldstein.
