Media Corporations Fox and Hulu Extend Content Agreement

Fox Entertainment and Hulu have renewed a multi-year content distribution agreement, securing a deal valued at over $1.5 billion. This agreement will keep in-season streaming rights for Fox's programming slate on Disney's Hulu streaming service for the next four years.

Under the terms of the agreement, Fox primetime entertainment programming will continue to stream on Hulu one day after airing on Fox. This includes popular shows like "The Masked Singer," "The Floor," "Gordon Ramsay's Next-Level Chef," "Bob's Burgers," "The Simpsons," "Family Guy," "Animal Control," "Rescue: HI-Surf," and "Murder in a Small Town."

Disney's 20th Television, which produces a number of shows for Fox, including "The Simpsons," will continue to partner with Fox Entertainment. Hulu General Manager Lauren Tempest expressed excitement about continuing to offer Fox's scripted, unscripted, and animated series to subscribers.

Disney is looking to boost subscribers and improve its streaming profits by bundling Hulu with Disney+ and ESPN+. The agreement also includes an extension of the successful, expansive marketing alliance established in 2023. The marketing efforts between Fox Entertainment and Hulu have generated impressive results, helping viewers find the shows they want to watch.

Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade stated that the partnership with Hulu and Disney Entertainment has driven mutual growth and strong results. Hulu will also have the rights to stream out-of-season episodes of key Fox unscripted programs. This deal is a significant step forward in the future of television, as both parties aim to expand on their impressive track record and collaboratively shape the future of the industry.
