At the UITP Summit 2025 in Hamburg, the company showcased the Mercedes-Benz eCitaro featuring the next generation NMC4 battery. This unveiling underscores Daimler Buses' commitment to innovation and sustainability in the bus industry.
As part of this commitment, all newly delivered buses from Daimler Buses will now receive a Digital Services Package as an option. For diesel buses, this package comes with free usage for three years, while electric buses benefit from six years of free usage.
One of the key services included in this package is Omniplus On Battery Monitoring. This service provides fleet operators with valuable insights into the condition of the high-voltage battery and offers recommendations for optimal use of electric buses.
Omniplus, a division of Daimler Buses Solutions GmbH, also offers Omniplus On monitor location services plus. This feature allows for the setting up of zones with restricted maximum speed. When a vehicle enters such a zone, the speed limiter automatically activates, ensuring compliance with local speed limits.
In addition to these services, Omniplus is expanding its digital offerings for electric buses. This expansion includes speed-related geofencing and battery monitoring, further enhancing the safety and efficiency of electric bus fleets.

Moreover, Omniplus boasts the largest service network in Europe for electric buses. With a growing network of specialist eBus service outlets, they are well-equipped to support bus operators in maintaining their electric fleets.
Lastly, the free Warranty Status service offered by Daimler Buses provides insight into the warranty status of the battery and offers support in the prevention of possible warranty violations.
