Messi Closes in on 700 Goals, Trailing Ronaldo by 23

Lionel Messi is currently in second place in the all-time Champions League scoring list, trailing only Cristiano Ronaldo. With 677 goals to his name, he is just 23 entries away from reaching 700. This puts him among today’s top five scorers, ahead of Robert Lewandowski.

Messi's impressive goal-scoring record has earned him a combined prize money of over $365,000. The Argentinian forward is not the only notable name in the top five, however. Jimmy Lehouiller currently leads the pack, while Stephen Duaphinais, the reigning TORSE champion, also makes an appearance in this elite group.

With each goal, Messi inches closer to the 700-mark, a feat that would cement his legacy as one of the greatest footballers of all time. The race to the top is fierce, with Lehouiller and Duaphinais providing stiff competition.
