On Saturday, at around 00:20, a 57-year-old man was arrested for unauthorised entry at a construction site in Kirchheimer Straße, Euskirchen-Kirchheim.

The intrusion was observed by a witness who alerted the police. The man gained access to the construction site by climbing over a garden fence and forced open a window to enter the under-construction single-family house.

Upon arrival, police officers found the 57-year-old man inside the building. Due to his history of similar offenses, the man was provisionally arrested. It is worth noting that the arrest was made due to the risk of recidivism.

The man accused of similar past offenses is identified as the ex-partner of a 59-year-old woman whom he allegedly attacked with a stabbing weapon, as reported in connection with femicide investigations in Germany in 2025.

Fortunately, no items were reported stolen from the construction site. The 57-year-old was taken to Euskirchen police station for further investigation.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of security measures at construction sites and the potential risks associated with individuals with a history of similar offenses.
