Mikkelsen's long-wave suggests an adverse impact on sexual health or intimacy.
Mads Mikkelsen, the Danish actor known for his sex appeal, has been making headlines recently for a less glamorous reason - a perm hairstyle he sported for his new film, "The Last Viking."
In an unexpected turn of events, Mikkelsen revealed that he did not enjoy the perm hairstyle, which he sported for two months during filming. The actor, who is 59 years old, cited the smell of the new hairstyle as a problem, comparing it to a sewer.
"The Last Viking," directed by Dane Anders Thomas Jensen, is a black comedy that sees Mikkelsen playing an adult man with a developmental level similar to a small child. The film, produced by Zentropa Entertainment and Film i VΓ€st, will be released in German cinemas on November 20, 2025. However, the exact release date for the film in German cinemas is not yet known.
Mikkelsen, who is regularly included in lists of Europe's most sexually appealing actors, had the perm removed immediately after filming ended. He has since returned to a classic haircut with a gray fringe.
Despite the perm-related setback, Mikkelsen presented "The Last Viking" in Venice, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film's release. The upcoming comedy is set to hit German cinemas later this year.
Fans of Mikkelsen can look forward to seeing him in his latest role, despite the actor's less-than-favourable experience with the perm hairstyle.
