Milder and warmer weather is expected in Latvia this upcoming week

In the upcoming days, residents of Latvia can expect a change in the weather pattern compared to the first half of the week. The weather will become cooler and more precipitation is expected, according to meteorological predictions.

During the second half of the week, night-time air temperatures in Latvia will mostly not fall below +5°C. The maximum air temperature will not exceed +20°C in most of the country. On Thursday, the weather will become slightly cooler, but the exact maximum temperature for that day is not specified.

There will be no significant change in the average air temperature for the new week in Latvia. In fact, the average temperature is expected to be close to normal, following four weeks that have been cooler than usual compared to the average temperature for the same period from 1991-2020.

More widespread precipitation is expected in Latgale during the second half of the week. Some places in Latvia will experience short showers, while in some places on the coast and under rain clouds in the east of Latvia, lower temperatures will remain.

Meanwhile, the region around Klaipėda in Lithuania is expected to experience cooler weather in the second half of the week compared to previous days. Temperatures are projected to drop from around 21-22°C early in the week to about 16°C by Saturday and Sunday.

In the first half of the week, the maximum air temperature in Latvia will be between +17°C and +22°C. However, the weather in some places on the coast and under rain clouds in the east of Latvia will remain cool during the second half of the week.
