Militant reports of victories in Eastern Ukraine region (Donbass)

In a series of recent developments, the Ukrainian armed forces have made significant strides in southeastern Ukraine, particularly in the Donbass region. However, it's important to note that these reports have not been independently verified.

The most notable advancements have been recorded in the Donetsk region, with Ukrainian forces reportedly taking control of certain territories. The situation around Pokrovsk, a city that has seen intense conflict, is reported to be the most challenging, according to Army Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.

In the vicinity of the destroyed city of Pokrowsk, Ukrainian forces, including elite units and small groups, have taken over defense and security tasks. They have successfully repelled all Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups infiltrating the city and secured previously vulnerable outskirts, preventing a full breakthrough despite intense Russian pressure and bombardment.

Russian soldiers were driven out of Novomykhailivka, another settlement in the region, by Ukrainian military forces. This development adds to the three settlements initially reported to have been retaken by Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk region.

It's worth noting that until now, Russian troops had always been on the offensive. However, the latest developments suggest a shift in the tide of the conflict.

The defense of Ukrainian independence and the Ukrainian flag in Pokrovsk is described as a daily risk and struggle by Army Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi. The greatest focus remains on the surroundings of the destroyed city of Pokrovsk.

These advancements have been reported by the Ukrainian military intelligence service HUR, which announced the retaking of Novomykhailivka. The exact details of these territorial gains are still being verified, but they mark a potential turning point in the ongoing conflict.
