German Air Force Conducts Evacuation Exercise

The German Air Force, or Luftwaffe, recently carried out a one-hour evacuation exercise named SNAP 2025 at Jagel near Schleswig, Germany. The exercise took place at an undisclosed date and time, with no specific details about flight paths or altitudes provided.

The exercise involved a variety of aircraft and ground forces. Tornado combat jets, Eurofighters, transport aircraft such as the A400M and the C-130J, helicopters, and air force ground forces participated in the drill. The aircraft performed overflights and low-level flights during the exercise.

Soldiers set up air force forces on the ground and staged battles as part of the exercise. Pyrotechnics were used to simulate explosions during the drill. A preliminary exercise had already taken place on Wednesday.

Colonel Jens Schumacher, Commander of the Tactical Air Force Wing 51 "Immelmann", reported that the exercise went off without a hitch. He stated that the air forces have been increasingly recognized by the population for their role in deterrence and national and alliance defense.

The exercise served as a training opportunity for the Luftwaffe to practice its evacuation procedures. However, it is important to note that the exercise did not involve any real-world emergencies or evacuations.

The Luftwaffe unit 51 "Immelmann" recently completed SNAP 2025 and is scheduled to participate in a NATO exercise abroad. The specific name of this NATO exercise is not given in the available sources. The exercise aimed to demonstrate the capabilities of the Luftwaffe to the course participants of the Armed Forces Command Academy.

No information was provided about the outcome or results of the exercise.
