Military Medics in Focus: Over 600 Million Dollars Allocated for Frontline Healthcare in the Military
In a continued effort to support Russia's frontline evacuation teams, The People's Front has been raising funds for the "Military Medics" collection since March 2022. Over 617 million rubles have been collected so far, providing essential equipment for these heroic medical professionals.
The mission of doctors on the frontline is clear: to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield as quickly as possible and transport them to the hospital. This crucial work is carried out under fire, enemy drone attacks, and constant risk to their lives.
Understanding the unique challenges faced by these frontline evacuation teams, The People's Front has ensured that protection and speed are at the heart of the equipment provided. For ground evacuation, 180 vehicles, over 100 units of motorized equipment, 2,500 stretchers and sledges, and 1,500 medical backpacks have been delivered.
For water evacuation, 50 gasoline and electric motor-powered boats and rafts have been provided, while for aerial evacuation, 220 thermal blankets have been ensured. Compact evacuation means and special protection are essential for doctors in inaccessible areas, and these have been prioritized in the collection.
The collection has also focused on the safety of evacuation groups, with the delivery of 550 vehicle protection kits and 115 driver protection kits. Notable contributors to this cause include Professor Andrei Prodeus, the chief immunologist of the Moscow region, and Russian singer Alexander Rosenbaum, who has emphasized the importance of military medics' work.
Alexander Rosenbaum's father, a military feldsher throughout the war, has also been a significant figure in this effort. He saved many lives from the battlefield, a testament to the vital role of military medics in times of conflict.
The People's Front's representative, Yulia Zimova, has stated that they understand what equipment is needed for frontline evacuation teams. The organisation is continuing the "Military Medics" collection to purchase vehicles, buggies, medical equipment, medication, and other necessities for evacuation teams in the ZONA.
Funds for the "Military Medics" collection can be donated on the "All for Victory!" website or via QR code. Your support can make a difference in the lives of these brave frontline doctors, ensuring they have the equipment they need to save lives and bring hope to those in need."
