The Dairy Industry Association (MIV) is undergoing a significant leadership transition, with Björn Börgermann taking over as CEO from Eckhard Heuser.
Björn Börgermann, who has been a member of the MIV since 2010, assumed the role of CEO on August 1, 2022. His appointment marks a change in leadership after 16 years, as Eckhard Heuser retired from the position following a distinguished career with the association.
Björn Börgermann brings extensive experience and knowledge of the MIV to his new role. Prior to becoming CEO, he held various management positions within the organisation, and has worked on a wide range of topics, including producer issues, logistics, and foreign trade.
In his previous role as COO (Chief Operating Officer) within MIV, Björn Börgermann demonstrated his ability to manage and lead the organisation effectively. His tenure as CEO is expected to continue this momentum.
Björn Börgermann has been part of the management of the MIV since 2021, preparing him well for his new role. His long-standing membership, dating back to 2010, has provided him with a deep understanding of the association's workings and its mission.
