In the cultural heart of Wuppertal, the Wuppertal branch of the Cologne University of Music and Dance is set to bid a dramatic farewell with their final concert, titled "I have dreamed it again."

The concert, directed by Robert Sturm, will mark the return of the spectacle to the Riedel Halls at Uellendahl, a venue where it first made its impact four years ago. The event promises to be a grand affair, featuring a violin solo by Romanian-born composer Alexander Balanescu, affectionately known as "The Musical Globetrotter."

Balanescu, renowned for his stops in Jerusalem, New York, London, and Wuppertal for the Pina Bausch Tanztheater, such as in "Full Moon," will undoubtedly bring his unique flair to the concert.

The performances will also feature the recitation of text passages by a stellar cast of actors. Among them are Luise Kinner, a bundle of energy with an impressive voice, and Ingeborg Wolff, a theatre icon. Bernd Kuschmann, a legend of the stage, and Pierre Siegenthaler, active in television and radio plays, will also join the cast.

The text passages will be recited by well-known actors during the performances, adding an extra layer of depth and emotion to the concert.

Following the performances, Werner Dickel, a violist who retired after 30 years as a professor of viola at a music school this year, hopes to find more time for sailing. Dickel will be conducting the final concert of the Wuppertal branch of the Cologne University of Music and Dance.

The stage designs by Tony Cragg are being transformed into a new 360-degree projection format by Frank Petzold. The film projection is being designed by the film technician of our website, who has been nominated for an "Oscar" for his special effects.

This final concert is not just a farewell to the Wuppertal branch, but a celebration of music, theatre, and the talents that have graced its stages over the years. It promises to be an unforgettable event for all who attend.
