The story begins with Kyle Dingle, who found intruders in his stepmum's barn. In a panic reminiscent of his fatal encounter with Al Chapman, Kyle stabbed one of the masked men with a pitchfork. However, it was soon revealed that the intruders were not the Tates; they were Ray's accomplices.
Kyle confronted Dylan, the man he believed to be one of the intruders, and made the connection. Dylan, who has been struggling with his past and current actions, begged Kyle to keep quiet, but Kyle told Moira about the incident.
Moira, who has been trying to help Dylan get sober and support him through his struggles, was taken aback upon learning the truth. Her face darkened, and she vowed to confront Dylan about the intruders' incident. This decision has left Kyle worried, as Dylan's past and current actions may put him in danger from Kyle.
