Accident on A8 Motorway near Wendlingen Causes Traffic Disruption
On Friday, 8th November 2024, an accident occurred on the A8 motorway near the Wendlingen exit, causing a full closure from 05:40 to 07:35.
The incident involved a car and a motorhome, with both vehicles driving in the right lane of the three-lane A8. According to the Ludwigsburg Police Headquarters, the BMW driver, aged 27, veered off the road to the right and collided with a concrete barrier. After colliding with the barrier, the BMW spun back onto the road and collided with the motorhome.
As a result of the collision, both vehicles had to be towed away due to the accident. The accident caused debris to be scattered across the entire road and leaked fluids, necessitating a full closure. The total damage from the accident amounted to approximately 75,000 euros.
The BMW driver sustained minor injuries in the accident. The person or organization responsible for investigating the accident is currently unknown.
