Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of Rider, Reports Polish Police
In a tragic incident that occurred on Thursday evening, a 22-year-old motorcyclist from Dorsten lost his life in a traffic accident. The other vehicle involved was a small truck, driven by a 52-year-old resident of Dorsten.
The accident took place on Schermbecker StraΓe towards Schermbeck, near Recklinghausen. The truck driver was attempting to turn left into the Bruchweg when the collision occurred. Both vehicles caught fire immediately after the accident.
First aid was administered by several passersby, but despite their efforts, the motorcyclist died at the scene. Emergency services performed CPR, but it was to no avail. The accident site was completely closed for several hours as investigations into the exact cause of the accident were ongoing.
The police have secured both vehicles involved in the accident. Investigations are still underway to determine the sequence of events leading up to the tragic incident.
