Motorcycle rider aged 19 plummets 21 metres from DASH overpass near Shah Alam, resulting in fatal accident
In a tragic incident that occurred on August 23, a 47-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. The victim, a 52-year-old woman, was found unconscious in an apartment in Kampung Baru Subang, Shah Alam.
The police received a call about the incident at 8.45pm on August 24. A team from the Sungai Buloh District Criminal Investigation Division promptly responded. Upon arrival, they found the couple's rented room locked. The police forced entry and discovered the victim lifeless on the bed.
Medical checks conducted by two medical assistants from Sungai Buloh Hospital confirmed that the victim had been dead for more than four hours before she was found. The suspect, who strangled the victim with his hands, was arrested at the scene.
Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor, the Sungai Buloh District Police Chief, has assured the public that the police are taking the incident seriously. He urged the public to remain calm, not speculate, and refrain from actions that may break the law.
The suspect is being remanded for seven days until August 30. He is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
