Motorcycle rider, aged 19, succumbs to fatal fall from DASH overpass close to Shah Alam, reported by authorities

In a series of seismic events, three earthquakes have been reported to have occurred in Johor, Malaysia. The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has been at the forefront of providing updates and assurance to the public.

The first earthquake, with a magnitude of 2.8, occurred at 6:13 am. The epicentre was located in the area of Yong Peng near Batu Pahat district. This was followed by a second earthquake, with a magnitude of 4.1, which occurred in the Mersing Fault Zone area at 9 am. The third earthquake was also felt in certain areas around Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, and southern Pahang.

Dr Mohd Hisham Mohd Anip, the director-general of MetMalaysia, has advised the public not to worry about the low-magnitude earthquakes that occurred today. He assured that MetMalaysia will monitor the situation closely and provide regular updates.
