MTV Video Music Awards Winners Announced: Lady Gaga Leads with Four Victories; Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter Also Secure Triumphs among Other Notable Winners
The UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, was the venue for the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, a night filled with electrifying performances, heartfelt tributes, and a plethora of awards.
KATSEYE emerged as the winner of the MTV Push Performance of the Year, while Charli XCX's "Guess featuring Billie Eilish" took home the Video for Good award. Ariana Grande's "brighter days ahead" won Best Long Form Video, and a star-studded tribute was performed for Ozzy Osbourne during the event.
Sabrina Carpenter had a successful night, winning Best Visual Effects for "Manchild" and the Best Album award for "Short n' Sweet". She also bagged three trophies, including the Album of the Year award.
Lady Gaga was the biggest winner of the evening, taking home four awards. She won Best Direction and Best Art Direction for "Abracadabra", and added the Video of the Year award for her collaboration with Rose, as well as the Song of the Year award.
Bruno Mars won two awards, and Tate McRae and Doechii each won two awards as well. Tate McRae won Best Editing for "Just Keep Watching (From F1: The Movie)", and Doechii won Best Choreography for "Anxiety".
In a special moment, the inaugural Rock the Bells Visionary Award was presented to hip hop icon Busta Rhymes. This award was created to honour artists who have made significant contributions to the music industry and culture.
The night also saw the inaugural Latin Icon Award being presented to Ricky Martin, and the Video Vanguard Award going to Mariah Carey. LISA ft. Doja Cat & RAYE won Best K-Pop for "Born Again", and Megan Moroney won Best Country, a new category, for "Am I Okay?".
